Egypt,
the oldest tourist country of the world is like an enormous open-air museum.
Magnificent buildings, stone Monuments and of course the immeasurable wealth of
the Pharaonic-tombs fascinate the visitors all times again. The country consists
to more than 95% of stones, sand and wasteland. But in the middle of Egypt the
Nile flows. It is the lifeline of the country and on the banks there are
beautiful green and fruitful oasis landscape. Here could be developing one of
the oldest High-cultures of the mankind. You can admire whose great remnants
still today.

We travel to Egypt in April, but not because of the
cultural monuments, but only for windsurfing. Hurghada was at that time the best
Surf spot at the Red Sea. Unfortunately, or goodness, were the weather
conditions worst, so that we took a trip to Luxor.

It was
like a trip into another and past time, it was a culture shock, and a big
experience, too. Whether the Valley of the Kings, the temple district in Luxor,
the landscape at the Nile or the life of the farmers, all that were for us more
than fascinating.
