Buzios

Called
the Saint Tropez of Brazil, is 170 km far from Rio and our Holiday destination
after our long journey through the country. We booked the accommodation “Vila
Boa Vida” by Internet. After our arrival in Rio Airport we were picked up for
the 3-hour transfer. The driver was not only a very safe driver but also a very
quick wheel changer (2 times). The landscape reminded us really of Southern
France in the spring, beautifully hills, green meadows and many flowers. Our
accommodation only a dream. A Super room with a perfect view to one of the many
bays around Buzios. The domicile reminded us rather of a private resort with
small bungalows in the tropical garden, as to a hotel.

Buzios
is really very French, small restaurants and boutiques, cobblestone, flowerpots.
But it was the end of the season and very quiet. Only on weekend there were more
people and we got a small impression of the tendency, which is here in the full
season. A little bit crazy life with much Samba and Caipirinha.

All
the 23 beaches around Buzios are very clean and beautiful. Small rock sandy bays,
or large beaches everything is here.

The
transfer to the beaches is by the Praja bus from the centre of the town. But now
in the lower season it operates very irregular so that we went many kilometres
here by foot. At this time the weather was a little bit inconsistent and cool in
the evening, so that we must put on a sweater.
