New Territories 1999 |
The New Territories belong to the most fascinating areas of Hong Kong. There are no organized tourist tours and therefore not very much tourist. We went there only by public transports in self-direction. Indeed, it was a little bit complicated, but a big adventure. We knew Hong Kong by a special way. Not everybody can see it. |
A country full of temples and monasteries, villages protected by walls, rice fields, fruit and vegetable plantations, a patch work of traditional Chinese village life and very modern suburbs. |
Religious variety is everywhere. Chinese cemeteries beside Buddhism centres, as well as gardens of meditation. For us places of peace and silence. |
