Udaipurromantic city on Lake Pichola |
||
Udaipur was the last stop on our Rajasthan trip. We stayed for 4 nights in Karohi Haveli in a fantastic location on the west bank of Lake Pichola and magnificent views of the City Palace. The city belongs doubtless to the most beautiful cities in India, because the mixture of the old city, palaces, lakes and beautiful mountain scenery is very impressive, so we have also met much more tourists than the days before. |

At first we visited the main attraction, the famous City Palace of Udaipur, however, only a third part is freely accessible, the other third is, of course a luxury hotel,
the rest still occupied by the Maharana. |

Like always, we walked through the old lanes and arrived at sunset the river banks and here we could watch a great religious ceremony. It was simply unbelievably, these colors, the mood, we were thrilled. This festival was at the 3-day Gangaur festival and the ceremony takes place on two other evenings. It was great, so to be there during this time. |

Another "must" is a visit to the Jagdish temple, located in the intersection area of the old town. It is a true oasis of calm in the middle of the noise and infernal traffic.

Here in Udaipur we had to say good bye to our driver, Ram. He drove us comfortable and safe round 2000 km of Rajasthan. He was an excellent, careful driver and a pleasant and friendly man. |

We booked our journey and the hotels by the travel agency
"Forts & Palaces Tours" and were more than satisfied. |
