Phuket, the largest island of Thailand and tropical dream, fascinated us just on the 2. view. Our short trip in 1996 was not very nice. The weather was bad, a lot of tourist and no tropical feeling. But we always heard again and again from the beauty of this island and so we visited it again. Meanwhile we like this beautiful Island in the Andamanensea. |

Trips to Phi Phi Island and James Bond Island should be a must for everybody. All there is very very touristic, but the marvellous landscape let you forget at all. The visit of the Muslim village on the way to James Bond Island is very remarkable. The inhabitants of the village are an example for business as usual. Traditional Muslim life and tourism is no problem.

There are a lot of Cashew trees, too. In one of the many small factories you can see the cracking and roasting of the Cashew nuts. It is a very hard work and everybody should eat the delicious nuts by remembering the hard work.

Like
everywhere in Thailand here are beautiful Wats, too, where people celebrate and
offer things, like gold foil, lotos-flowers and burning sticks. In the shell museum we saw beside many unusual samples from all over the world. Also these 180 million years old exhibit, which was found during the building of the motorway between Hechingen and Engstlatt, Germany, make us very wondering. |
