This
of the mass tourism spared place was the last station of our Bali
journey. In the charming, typically Balinese hotel ”Keraton Jimbaran
Resort” we spent and relaxed very well, our last days in Bali |
Directly
behind the hotel you can watch the balinese everyday life, at its best.
Whether at the daily market, or by a walk through the village,
everywhere you can find the original life. A view into the inner courts,
where old women with bare torso do their work, shows that the old
traditions still alive and the strange influences here don’t grow. |
|
The 2 km long and most beautiful sandy beach of Bali
must we divide only with few tourists during our stay. |
We could watch during the day undisturbed the
fishermen by building their wooden boats, or the women and girls making
the daily offerings. |
|
Only in the evening, to the spectacular sunsets, the beach filled. Predominantly native locals came at the end of work to the sea and we could see again the balinesian family life. Of course also tourist from other vacation centres came to the beach to watch the daily spectacular sunset. Afterwards they visit one of the many, original open air restaurants, to enjoy the fresh fish and sea fruits from the coconut grill. Food at the Jimbaran Beach became meanwhile a tourist attraction. |
|
We ate here the best fish, which we had ever eaten.
After we had tried some of the restaurants, we always went again and
again to “Marias café”. It was not only the good preparation of the
fishes but also the lovely kind of Maria. |
