Ubud,
the art centre Balis is after the tourist masses are not arrived or have just
gone, a rather calm and leisurely place with beautiful small temples and typical
town life. |
|
|
It
is the favourite place of numerous artists like Walter Spies and Rudolf Bonnet.
We visited some of the many museums and galleries, which was naturally not
without consequences. |

Also
we could watch the traditional dance demonstrations in the mystic garden of the
Ubud Palace. |
|
The
Fire -, Barong- and Legong dance performance, were a spectacular fascinating
event. |

Beside
the typical tourist hotels there are numerous, good Guesthouses with much more
Balinese charm.
In
the Guci Guesthouse, by Uli and Nyoman, a German-Balinese couple, we felt very
well. Their tips, helped us, to know Ubud and the environment beside the usual
visitor ways. A stay in the nice small, individual Bungalows can we recommend to
everyone. In addition the breakfast is spectacular. |
