Hongkong Island 1999 |
Hong Kong Island - Central District is the heart of the old British Crown colony and the centre of Business and bank houses, too. Here is the famous landmark of Hong Kong, “the bank of China”. |
The breathtaking architecture and also the street life inspired us very much. The best way, you can see all this, is to take a trip by the double-decker Tram. From the upper deck you can see, small markets and little shops, which offers all possible and impossible things you can buy. |
A further high light is the one way to the peak by tram, the big viewpoint to Hong Kong. From here you have the most beautiful view over the city and the harbour. A special event is it in the twilight, if the lights turn on down in the city everywhere. It is an indescribable experience. |
The city is a culinary highlight too. Here you can find all kinds of the best chinese food. Our big dinner on New Years Eve in the Yung Kee, a special restaurant for ducks, was very fine and a great experience, also because we were the only “long noses strangers“ in this big restaurant.
