and the rest of the Island
Mallorca,
the largest island of the Balearics is much better than most people
think about. So we flew this year in the middle of September for a long weekend to Palma de Mallorca. This time we stayed directly in the capital with its landmark "La Seu". The cathedral is a masterpiece of gothic architecture and their spectacular situation makes it one of the most beautiful churches of Spain. Beside is the Palau l Álmudaina, where you can find Islamic and gothic architecture in a beautiful kind. Not only the view of the "Castell de Bellver" on the city, the yachting port and the surrounding mountains is very spectacular, also the Castell is very impressive, it is the only round built Castle of Spain. A Stroll in Palma with the luxury shopping lanes, cosy restaurants and beautiful old buildings is an absolute must for each Mallorca visitor. Here you can get a good view of the real life of the Mallorquiner apart from the vacation and touristic life. Also this time we explored the island again with our renting car and were more than inspired of the landscape again. All, the cliffs, the mountain villages, Lemon trees, steep mountain routes, beautiful bays and bathing resorts, sandy beaches, fishing villages, as well as the proverbial mallorquinic hospitality and not least the excellent kitchen offer everything what a holiday-maker dreamed of. Mallorca is a paradise for everyone. Here is enough space for normal tourists, individual travellers, sportsmen, yachting people a.s.o. We like this island very well and we are sure, that we will come back soon again.
