BoholBohol, is the tenth-largest island of the Philippines, and belongs to the archipelago of the Visayas. Here we relaxed for 5 days at the Bohol Beach Club, a beautiful Bungalow resort on the off shore island Panglao, with its fantastic beach. The corral reefs near the island was shining in most different colours and therefore it was a great pleasure to snorkel in the warm sea. Only the poisonous sea serpents here, curtailed the pleasure a little bit.
Trough the beautiful landscape we reached the mystery Chocolate Hills, an unusual accumulation of homogeneous limestone hills. During the dry period they look like such as chocolate drops.
An absolute highlight for us was a trip by outrigger along the river. The people here at the banks live without any hectic in this paradise landscape.
Bohol is also the homeland of the Tarsier, the smallest kind of monkey of the world. For us, it looked more like a mouse with very big eyes.
