The Philippines

The Philippines, Tropical Island dreams at the entrance of the South Sea. Up to our journey we knew as well as nothing about the Philippines, except that the dictator Marcos controlled the country long time and the volcano Pinatubo was erupted in 1991 and covered whole villages under its ash. We experienced the Philippines in their whole, beautiful variety. The Metro Manila, the rice terraces of Banaue, the tropical Islands of the Visayas and last but not least the always friendly people inspired us very much.
